check out my fish they are invisible

By Any Other Name

In the story By Any Other Name two little Indian girls go to an Anglo-Indian school in India and they face racism. This becomes a problem for them and it is still a problem for people all around the world. I have friends who deal with this problem and I have had some occasions that were similar but not as server. I can easily understand the difficulties and hardship they have to deal with and I can understand why the mother was disappointed to discover racism in the school because she wanted her children to get a good education. I think it is a sad thing to deal with racism to the point where you have to leave the school when you are the majority and the minority tells you what to do.

the storyteller

I think this story is great because it gives a different side of the cliche used by most storytellers. I never thought about the stories like this until i read the storyteller. This story criticizes the common way of telling and writing stories which makes everything have a good and happy ending. In real life stories don't always end happy, sometimes they have a bad ending like this story. This is a great story for all ages because it teaches and shows people different possible outcomes to the same story settings. I like the fact that the aunt is offended by the story because she has been teaching some inaccurate life lessons because life is not just good times it also has its bad times. This story makes sense only after the second time you read it because you will think the ending is weak but the second time you will understand the humor.

article 5

response: I think I would have to agree with martin Hoerling because I'm not exactly sure what is going on and I'm not sure the scientists exactly going on either. Martin Hoerling got me to think about the possible reasons for extreme weather. I believe that people’s idea of global warming can be false and misled by jumping on the carbon emission band wagon. I think it is a good idea to clean the air by reducing carbon emissions but I don’t believe it’s the only reason for global warming. I think that there is a cycle from ice age to a global warming era so I don’t think it is as big of a deal as people make it seem.

DVD review: Alexander the Great

Alexander the Great is one of the most famous and influential leaders known on this earth. Alexander was the son of Phillip II of Macedon. His father trained him very well because he knew Alexander had greatness in him. Phillip knew that to be a great leader he would have to be well education so Aristotle became his tutor and gave him knowledge that would help him later. Alexander became fond of some stories about legendary figures. He idolized the hero Achilles and kept a copy of his story everywhere he went. He later took this idolism so far that he used the shield of Achilles’’ for good luck in battle. His father was assassinated at his sister’s wedding. At the time the people were unsure who the rightful leader was, so Alexander went and killed every one who had the chance of taking his crown from him. After he became the definite he asked his people to support his funds and in return he would conquer the lands taken from them and much more. Alexander first regained the land they had lost to the Persians even though they were severely outnumbered by the Persian army.
